Mid-years are behind, but that's not what's important.
It's American Idol that was important.
Being a huge Adam supporter, I'm not going to hide my disappointment. But I'm also not going to go, "OHMYGOD KRIS SUCKED ADAM WAS WAYY BETTER HE CAN GO DO ALL THOSE HIGH NOTES OMG WTFWTF!!!!111Shift+1!!11"
No.
Adam, was the clear favorite. From his hair, to his insane vocal range, and his style, and Randy comparing him to Twilight, MCR and FOB, he was the clear favourite of teenage girls all around.
Kris, on the other hand, was the underdog, the "dark horse" of the competition. How, then, did he win?
Simon had praised Adam more than Kris, making it clear that Adam performed better on Wednesday (Tuesday for Americans) night. Akin to last year's finale, where Archuleta got all the praise, Cook still won. Some people say Adam is just not mainstream enough to sell with the general viewing population of American Idol, which, some say is mostly made up with American housewives with nothing better to do. Kris would therefore have been more appealing to them. And he also probably got more fans after Danny got eliminated, because Danny and Kris were both the humble, modest, devout Christians and after Danny was out, all his supporters fuelled their energies into Kris instead of the eyelinered, black-nailed, flamboyant, and -wait for it- homosexual Adam Lambert.
My personal feeling is that the American population was far too conservative to ever embrace a gay American Idol. At first, from the Top 13 week to the top 5 week, I didn't suspect this, thinking that America would have voted on talent rather than someone's sexuality. Then, suddenly, in the Top 5 results show, Adam, constantly soaring, had plummeted to the bottom 2.
Then, I suspected that Danny and Kris fans were uppping their game. In the following two weeks, there were no bottom 3s or 2s, but I think that Kris was leading the pack all the way, with Adam being in the bottom half of the popularity chart, but not quite low enough to be eliminated. I think, if Allison fans hadn't joined team Lambert (from rocker to rocker), we wouldn't have even seen him in the final.
Nevertheless, he did, and, in the week leading up to the performance show, I had a gut feeling (and so did some others) that Adam was not safe. If I was in the USA, I would have voted, but most of us Glambert fans could only sit back and watch as America voted Kris Allen to be the 8th American Idol. Kris, however, did deserve his title, and if Adam was not a contender, I would have been happy to seen Kris win. Of course, either way, I didn't want him to sing No Boundaries again..
The finale was great, with a real star-studded cast. Here's the rundown and what I think of the performances.
Top 13 - So What (Pink) : Pretty good as an opener, it was nice to see them all in white.
David Cook - Permanent : Great, great power ballad. Driven by emotion as a tribute to his recently deceased brother, Adam Cook.
Lil Rounds and Queen Latifah - Cue The Rain : Pretty alright, got a bit boring though.
Anoop + Alexis + Mraz - I'm Yours : Superb winnage, here. Mraz has an awesome beard too.
Bikini Girl + Kara Dioguardi : Epic. Kara has a great body :D, and she can REALLY sing.
Danny Gokey + Lionel Richie : Great pairing up, Richie seems like a really nice guy. "All Night Long" could have gone a bit smoother though.
Kris + Keith Urban - Kiss A Girl : So-so, not a great fan of country.
Allison + Cindy Lauper - Time after time : Okay, only good part was Allison's killer vocal.
Adam + KISS - Beth, Detroit Rock City and Rock n' Roll all night : Epic performance, but Adam is more skinny jeans and eyeliner-glam rock, whereas Kiss is blood spitting, make-up, hairy chest-glam rock. Pretty frickin' sweet though.
Top 13 girls + Fergie + B.E.P - Glamorous, Big Girls Don't Cry and Boom Boom Pow : Frickin' amazing. Really exciting performance.
Santana+ Top 13 - Black Magic Woman + Smooth :Loved this. Can't say much to describe it.
Adam + Kris + Queen - We Are The Champions : The Best performance of the night. The two finalists complement each other really well, and their bro-hug showed that they are more than just rivals but true friends, too.
Kris - No Boundaries : ...*cough*...
That's it. Goodbye, Season 8. Can't wait for Season 9, gonna be soo epic. Also can't wait for later in the year when Adam and Kris' debut albums come out.

It's almost been a month.Ohsnap.
Headaches, headaches. They suck. But they help if you take Panadol and then, gratuitous amounts of coffee.
Nintendo DS is on a roll. I have most of the games, just waiting for Devil Survivor, which should be out in June.
New classroom fails. The smell is terrible. I wish I was back in the T.C. It felt a bit like a mini neighbourhood, it did. I miss it already.
Mr. Fong, where are you?!
Temple visit. Too short to be worth the commute. But the bus ride was fun.
Thanks Harold for throwing around the snake, and Josey for saving it.
There are twenty fish in a pond. (Holds up three fingers)
Hitler was a douchebag.
Still owe Mrs. Tan my essays.
Zomg. 21st Century Breakdown!!! Gonna pre-order. Tomorrow. I will.
Heroes and Cons.

EDIT: You can only moan and sob up to a certain point. After that you have to pick yourself up and not give in anymore. Thanks, Tin, for the counsel and support. No wonder you're my best friend :)
Original post :Been having so much fun past two days 'cause of Lum, Sherm, Leo, Kor, Ray for the outing and Tin and Gab for the support and friendship. Most of the holiday work is done, I've got everything in order.
So why do I feel things are just not going my way?
It's like, everything is just going against the current. I'm getting sick, I don't want to go back to school, people are putting pressure on me, I can't seem to make anyone happy. Everyone is mad at me for no reason, my internet's messing up half the time.
Even the grades are not satisfactory, apparently. I can't sleep properly, everything aches. My headphones are gone, my DS charger is missing, my room's in a mess even when I try to keep things in order.
My drawing sucks, it's not improving, I don't need people to tell me I suck, you think I don't know that? I don't need your 'compliments', as if you can do any better.
My guitar's so off-form in training, I'm screwing up the entire section 3 part.
And I haven't told
you.
I guess I need my life to change.I need a little more luck than a little bit.

Found the perfect blogskin! I'm lazy to do it now, I still have two essays to revise anyway.
Taking a short break.
Zomg Green Day's new album. I've been waiting five years for this. Five LONG years.
Seriously, Green Day has been a MAJOR influence in music for me, expecially for melody wise when I write. Lyrically, inspiration goes to Fall Out Boy and The Beatles. But seriously, WOW.
21st Century Breakdown. May 2009. I can already smell the win and epic.
Also, thanks LOADS Zong Yang for giving me the notes. Was a massive help!
And thanks Zuriel, whom I talked on the phone for like an hour, thanks for the encouragement!
Happy birthday Niraad tomorrow and Soon Tze on Tuesday :D :D
Is it can be time to get high? (.___.)

I thought today was going to be a lousy day, being Monday and all, but it turned out to be surprisingly productive and enjoyable.
First we had PE, which was indoors because of the haze. Didn't really make a difference, because I'm still on MC for my ankle. Just autopiloted through it.
Then we had double maths, I really had a good time because it was fun just discussing around and stuff. Was through with the TA1 papers quite quickly, I hope this year's is easier :D
Then we had Chemistry practical, which was titration again. Quite okay, I managed to get the measurements down accurately.
Recess was pretty alright, George was really evil go and steal Joachim's cookie. Then when Joachim took it back Raphael was like, "Eh, why steal George's cookie." Damn funny though.
After recess was English, went through for the TA tomorrow. Choose which band to have play at your Youth Rally. I'd think I'll pick Black Eyed Peas over U2, because I don't really like U2, despite their 22 Grammies. 'sides, BEP will be something people of our generation will be more familiar with. And of course, all the guys will come if they hear Fergie is coming too. Haha. U2 should get a female member or something.
Last lesson Physics, went through the book and I cleared up alot of doubts with Mr. Sim. I think I just need to practice a bit more and be a bit more familiar with the concepts, and I should be fine.
PSE was HILARIOUS, thanks to Joshua. Seriously, he's so daring. Leonard was also being damn retarded. Then had a scare from Dr. Neubronner because he said standard deviation's coming out for TA. Seriously, I was like "WTF?" and didn't speak for like half a minute. Got soo freaking scared okay. Other than that, PSE was uneventful. Stayed back to see Ms. Tan about the Chem I missed last week. I was so scared by calculation only to find out it's simple maths. So relieved it was worth staying back the hour :D
At home now, receiving music from Fahmy, and getting music for George. Looking forward to tomorrow. Hope it will be as successful and fun :D
Also, I'm contemplating a blogskin change, because I find the text on this blog is kinda small and kind of hard to read. Want to submit a new piece for The League Of Writers by tomorrow if there's time. Goodnight. :D
